There are multiple reasons for this.

On the one hand, compared to other industries, the market for bolt fastening paint is relatively small, so public interest in it is limited. On the other hand, the term 'screw protection paint' may be confusing as it only describes a part of its application scope.

However, thread protection paint has been widely used in various industries. This includes the automotive industry, aviation and roughness industry, railway and rail industry, such as manufacturers and service providers of amusement park rides. Ultimately, it is difficult to find manufacturing industries without thread protection paint contact points. Why? Because screws are used everywhere. In places with screws, there is usually also screw protection paint.

Due to the numerous industries that use thread protection paint, five main application areas have emerged over the years:

1. Visual relaxation indicator

Screw protection paint is used as a visual loosening indicator to immediately detect the looseness/loosening of safety related screw connections.

2. Visual test marking

Thread lock paint is used as a visual inspection mark to indicate that the threaded connection has been properly tightened or that another workpiece has been inspected/released.

3. Manipulate the indicator

Screw protection paint is used as a tampering indicator to indicate whether screw connections or components have been illegally loosened. This is usually used for warranty claims.

4. Work allocation markers

Screw protection paint is used as a distribution marker to indicate the last point in the production chain (such as production, installation, maintenance) that is working on the current workpiece.

5. Bolt lock

Screw lock varnish is used as a screw lock to secure screw connections.
